These custom stoneware soap dishes are hand-thrown exclusively for Herd and Elder by local ceramic artist Karen of Valley of Stone Ceramics. Each one is shaped by hand on the wheel, glazed in natural earthy tones — deep blues, warm ochres, umbers and browns — and fired to high stoneware temperatures for lasting durability.
Our Herd and Elder logo is subtly embossed into the centre, adding a quiet, grounding detail. The gently ridged form of the logo allows the soap to sit a little higher helping to extend the life of your cold-processed goat milk soap by keeping it dry between uses.
